Compliant
At Impact Design, we take the Commercial Product Safety
Information Act (CPSIA) very seriously. As such, all
of the products we produce are CPSIA compliant. Our
proprietary solution has been reviewed and approved by
both the CPSC and PPAI, so our clients can feel confident
that we understand the requirements and will keep them
compliant.
Track a Product
About CPSIA
As of January 1st, 2012,
screen printers and embroiderers applying either inks or
metallic threads to items intended for use by children
are required to permanently mark all garments with
required information or appropriate tracking
labels. There are a couple of methods that can be
used to permanently mark garments, but the main issue
for screen printers and embroiderers is that the method
must be permanent and must have the all required
information or a tracking number and a link to a website
where the number can be used to access all of the
required information.
All of the products that we produce requiring CPSIA
compliance will carry with them a URL and a tracking code
which can be found either inside the tail of the garment or
included within the screen print logo itself.
Following the URL and entering the tracking code into the
search bar will enable any consumer to easily ascertain the
pertinent details for that product. In addition to the
URL supplied on the product, a user can use the search bar
found at CPSIAregistry.org

since January of 2012. This should be a major
consideration for any apparel brand or promotional products
distributor engaged in the manufacture or sale of apparel
that will be worn by children aged 12 or younge
